Porirua Police have named the two women murdered in Morere Street Titahi Bay on Friday morning.

They are Joelene Rangimaria Edmonds aged 21 and Jashana Maree Robinson aged 16. Both women lived at the Morere Street address.

Detective Inspector Shane Cotter said, "Joelene Edmonds' two children, both aged under two, were found inside the address when the two women's bodies were discovered yesterday. Family members are now caring for them."

Jashana Robinson had only lived at the address for less than a week.

Police also want to speak to people who are familiar with the two deceased women.

"We are still seeking sightings of a man carrying baseball bat, walking between Tawa and Titahi Bay between 6am and 10am on Friday morning," says Mr Cotter.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Porirua Police on 04 238 1401.
