Police fear for the safety of 84 year old Mr Neil Canty of Newtown who was last seen in Petone at midday on Wednesday (8 July)
Mr Canty, who suffers from short term memory loss, was last seen wearing a dark coloured suit when he left his residence in Newtown. He weights 63kg, is 175cm tall, balding and of slim build

“Mr Canty usually returns home but has not done so on this occasion and with the recent spate of very cold weather we are concerned about his whereabouts, said Inspector John Spence of the Central Communications Centre. “Anyone with the knowledge of Mr Canty’s whereabouts or who may have seen him between Petone and Newtown on Wednesday are asked to contact Wellington Police”
