Alleged drug supplier in Court

1 min read

An 18 year-old Greenlane man appeared in the Auckland District Court today charged with possession of cannabis for supply and possession of needle/syringe for drugs.

He was arrested by Police on Friday, August 7 after a warrant was executed at his home address and has been remanded on bail to appear again on September 3, 2015.

Police allege more than a kilogram of cannabis plant material, packaged in anticipation of sale, was recovered from his home last Friday, along with nearly $4,000 cash.

It's alleged he had been selling cannabis to people aged between 16 and 25 - some in school uniforms - since April last year.

Drug education lessons are delivered by Police at a number of intermediate and secondary schools in Auckland about students making safe choices around drugs and alcohol.

Information on drug dealing or offending can be passed on to your local Police Station or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
