Arrest made after Stokes Valley assault

Hutt Valley Police  tonight arrested a 36-year-old Lower Hutt man at an Avalon address in connection with an assault which occurred on Monday 26 September in Stokes Valley.

The man will appear in the Hutt Valley District Court tomorrow Tuesday 5 October and he is charged with Aggravated burglary and Wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Detective Senior Sergeant Glen Barnett, Investigations Manager Hutt Valley Police says, "Police are still seeking David Haddon in relation to this matter, and information on his whereabouts would be appreciated.

The victim is still in Wellington Hospital, in the ICU ward with life-threatening injuries."
