1 min read

Around 6:30am today, occupants of an address in Burwood, Christchurch, disturbed three offenders on their property. One offender had entered the house and stolen car keys from inside, but was confronted by the occupants of the address.

After fleeing the address, this offender then attempted to steal a bicycle from a neighbouring address.

All three offenders then fled on foot, and were followed by some occupants of the house.

One offender was tracked by a Police dog and located nearby. The 24-year-old male has been charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, as he was located in possession of a Taser.

He is being held in custody to appear in court on Monday. The remaining offenders are currently being sought.
