Dunedin Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested and charged a 30-year-old male in connection with a fire in Mosgiel late last year.
The fire occurred at a property on Perth Street, Mosgiel, on 1 October 2017.
The property was vacant at the time and no one was injured, however the house was extensively damaged and has since been demolished.
Police would like to thank the public for their assistance at the time of the fire as well as during the investigation.
The man, charged with arson, is due to appear in Dunedin District Court on 10 April.
As the matter is now before the court, Police will not be commenting further.
