The police team investigating the fatal shooting of George Taiaroa in 2013 have this morning made an arrest.
Mr Taiaroa was killed on 19 March, 2013 while working at a road construction site in Atiamuri.
Today a man in his 40s from Taranaki was arrested without incident at an address in Stratford and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Mr Taiaroa’s family ask that the media respect their privacy at this time.
There will be no further comment at this stage and Police will not be facilitating media interviews.
