Hamilton Police have made an arrest in relation to the homicide investigation into the death of Raewyn Green on 11 February.
"A 52-year-old Hamilton man was arrested this morning following a tenacious investigation by a team of detectives. He is charged with manslaughter and will appear in the Hamilton District Court this afternoon," says Detective Sergeant William Loughrin.
"The man was known to Ms Green but I'm not able to comment further on their relationship, as the matter is now before the courts."
Police would like to thank members of the local community who contacted Police and were willing to provide information which assisted the investigation.
Ms Green's family is being supported by Victim Support.
