Arrests made in aggravated robbery

1 min read

Counties Manukau Police have now located and arrested two male teenagers allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery of a liquor store in Manurewa on 28 February 2016.

The 16 and 18-year-old are jointly charged with a 19-year-old male on the following charges:

- Aggravated robbery
- Aggravated injury
- Theft

Acting Detective Inspector Fa’a Va’aelua says he hopes the arrests offer some degree of comfort to the victim of this crime who remains in Middlemore Hospital in a stable condition and is recovering well from his stab wound.

“We take these matters very seriously and will act quickly to apprehend those responsible.”

Since 2014, Counties Manukau Police have been carrying out Operation Dukan and Operation Pingan, where we offer business owners of liquor stores and dairies crime prevention advice to prevent them from becoming victims of robbery.
