Auckland City CIB are investigating the serious assault of a 23 year-old man at a Mt Edent residential property that is reported to have occurred at about 8.15pm last night (Saturday).
Police attended the scene after being called to the property by St John Ambulance services who subsequently transported the man to Auckland Hospital where he is reported to be in a critical condition.
People from the address where the incident occurred are assisting Police with inquiries.
