Auckland CBD fights - update

1 min read

Police investigating a series of fights in the Auckland CBD in the early hours of Sunday morning are following a number of positive lines of enquiry after receiving a significant amount of footage from the public.

Having now analysed most of this footage, Police expect to make further arrests in the coming days.

Detective Senior Sergeant Nina Pedersen said the footage has been invaluable to investigators.

"We would like to thank the public for providing us with this information as it has enabled us to identify more offenders who we are now working to locate and interview.

"We are keen to get any more footage which people may have captured and will continue to knock on doors over these incidents as this sort of violence will not be tolerated."

A further statement can be expected later today.
