Canterbury Police investigations continue into report of intruder in Fairlie home

Canterbury Police have interviewed two family members regarding an alleged incident involving an armed man entering their home and lighting a small fire at approximately 6am this morning (10 February 2015).

Canterbury Police Armed Offenders Squad and a Police Dog and Handler attended the scene shortly after it was reported but unfortunately the alleged intruder was not located.

The intruder is described as a tall male, medium build, wearing dark clothing, gumboots and something dark covering his face.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
