SH1 north of Levin is closed in both directions following a crash overnight.
A car hit a power pole at around 2.25am about 1500m south of the intersection with Waitarere Beach Road. One person received moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to hospital.
SH1 is expected to re-open at 8am however it will close later in the day, at a time still to be determined, for further repairs to the power pole. While SH1 is closed diversions will be in place at the intersections of SH1 and Koputaroa in both directions.
