Deceased named - West Coast river crossing death update

Police have named the 32-year-old Christchurch woman who died in a mountain running tragedy in the Deception Valley near Otira, West Coast on Sunday.  She was Isabel Frances Rivett (nee Jones).
The victim was in a party of five who were 3km up Deception Valley towards Goat Pass.  They were making their third crossing of the Deception River when she became detached from her group and was swept downstream.
She was found by her companions about 1km downstream.  CPR was carried out by members of the party and emergency services called, however she died at the scene.
The victim's family are naturally grieving so Police and Victim Support urge media to give them privacy at this time.
Inquiries into the tragedy are continuing.
