Police can now release the names of the two men who died in a diving accident off the coast of Great Barrier Island on Saturday evening.
The deceased men are Igor PETRENKO who was 31 and Mingalim SIBAEV aged 55, both men lived in Auckland.
Police investigations into the accident are continuing and we would like to reiterate the comments of Sergeant Bruce Adams, O/C NZ Police National Dive Squad who last night issued a timely reminder to all divers about taking adequate safety precautions in the water.
