Drivers are asked to avoid the area around Hebden Crescent, Lower Hutt on State Highway 2 following a crash this morning.
The crash occurred around 7.30am and involved a truck and a car. The driver of the car is in a critical condition and is being transported to hospital.
Due to the crash a diversion is in place at Kennedy Good Bridge for northbound traffic. There are no diversion for southbound traffic but the road is down to one lane.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible while the scene is cleared.
