Police are describing a haul of jewellery found during a search warrant as an "Aladdins Cave" and are seeking help to identify the owners of the recovered property.

The stolen property was found at a Massey home last year, and despite Police efforts to track down the owners, more than 50 items remain unidentified.

"Some of the jewellery is quite distinctive and the owners may well recognise it. They might hold sentimental value too so we'd love to be able to get it back to them" says Detective Nick Poland, Helensville Police.

A 45 year-old man has been charged in relation to a series of historic burglaries and an aggravated robbery and will re-appear in the North Shore District Court on Wednesday 19 February.

Anyone who identifies the items as their belongings is asked to contact Detective Nick Poland on 09 420 9732 or email nicholas.poland@police.govt.nz

A full set of photographs is attached to this release on the Police website and the photographs will also be displayed on the Waitemata Police Facebook page.
