Dunedin Police investigating car fires

Dunedin Police are investigating arsons where three vehicles have been set alight in two separate instances over the weekend.

The first occurred at around 2.00am on Saturday 7th  May 2016 where the Fire Service were called to two vehicles that were parked next to each other and had been set alight on Burkes Drive, Maia. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

The second incident occurred at around 7.00pm on Saturday 7th  May 2016 where the Fire Service were called to a vehicle fire on the Port Chalmers Road near the intersection of Hall Road,  Sawyers Bay.  This vehicle was also extensively damaged.

Dunedin Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information about these fires or saw anybody acting suspiciously in these areas to contact them on Ph 03 471 4800.  Alternatively, anonymous information can be passed on to Crimestoppers on Ph 0800 555 111.
