Enquiries continuing into unexplained death in Freemans Bay

Enquiries are continuing to be made following an unexplained death in Freemans Bay, Auckland yesterday morning.

Police were alerted at 10.40am that a 52-year-old man had been found dead at an address in Beresford St.

A post-mortem has now been completed and further testing is required. The results of these tests will be reported to the Coroner.

A scene examination of the address will be carried out by Police over the next few days.

Police are currently speaking to the neighbours and acquaintances of the deceased.

At this stage Police are not in a position to release the name, as we are still trying to locate his next of kin.

No further information is available at this time.
