A motorcyclist has died following a crash on Roto O Rangi Road, between Te Awamutu and Cambridge, shortly after 5pm today.
The motorcyclist appears to have hit the side of a bridge. No other vehicles were involved.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place on Storey Road and Long Road.
The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance and Police expect the road to remain closed for at least another two hours.
No further information is available at this stage.
