Police are currently attending an incident in Mt Albert Road, Mt Roskill where a man has allegedly presented an imitation gun at a person living at an address on the street.
The incident happened shortly before midday today.
Senior Sergeant Grant Miller said that the man was restrained by those at the address and appears to have received a serious head injury during this stuggle. He has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
