Further arrests made as investigation into record meth seizure continues

Police investigating the record methamphetamine haul found in Kaitaia earlier this week have made a further two arrests.

A 25 year-old and a 26 year-old man will appear in the Manukau District Court this morning.

The men were arrested in Auckland yesterday and have remained in Police custody overnight.

They are charged with the following;

-Importing a class A drug, namely methamphetamine

-Possession for supply of a class A drug, namely methamphetamine

-Participating in an organised criminal group

The 25 year-old man also faces a further charge of money laundering.

The investigation into the record seizure is ongoing and Police are not ruling out the possibility of further arrests.
