A post mortem has now been completed in respect of a woman who died in a house fire in Taneatua yesterday morning (Tuesday, 19 November) and the Coroner is satisfied that the woman was Rebecca Ripeka Allerby, aged 79 who was the sole occupant of the house.
As a result of the combined Fire and Police investigation into the fire no suspicious circumstances surround the tragic death of Ms Allerby.
Enquiries will continue in respect of some electrical items recovered from the scene.
The matter has been referred to the Coroner and there will be no further Police comment.
