The results of a post mortem for a 24-year-old male found in his home in Puriri Street now lead Police to believe they are investigating a homicide.
Police are also able to release the name of the victim as Huri KING-MOSEN.
Ambulance and Fire Service staff were called to the property around 3.00pm on Tuesday afternoon to find the body of the victim.
The victim was discovered by the owner of the property upon arriving back from staying at another property in the Hutt Valley.
Mr King-Mosen was last in contact with family members on Monday and Police are interested in hearing from anyone who saw people or vehicles arriving or leaving the Puriri Street property that day. Anyone with any information should contact Hutt Valley Police on (04) 560 2600.
