The left hand northbound lane of the Harbour Bridge is currently blocked.
Police were notified just after 11am that a man who has been wanted by Police for some time, had gone to a North Shore address and stolen a car and money from a woman known to him.
He failed to stop for Police and a pursuit was initiated.
This is an ongoing incident and it appears that man has stopped his car on the bridge and has jumped off the side.
The Police boat Deodar was in the area and reached him very quickly. He is now on-board the boat.
Information on his condition is not yet known.
