Incident in Manurewa

About 11am today, two Police officers went to an address in Manurewa to carry out a bail check.

While doing this, they have been confronted by a different male who lives at the address, he presented what is believed to be a firearm at staff.

No shots are believed to have been fired.

Staff have quickly left the property and called for assistance.

The male involved has then left the address in a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle is a Hyundai iX35, registration: HLY442

If members of the public come across the vehicle, then we ask them to please call 111 immediately. Do not approach the vehicle.

There is no further information at this stage.
