Incident in Titirangi

Police are currently responding to an incident in Titirangi, after reports that a man has been stabbed.

Police were advised just after 4pm that a man had been stabbed on Seabrooke Avenue. He has been taken by ambulance to Auckland Hospital in a status 2 (serious) condition with a stomach wound. 

The offender is believed to have been identified and several parts of Titirangi have been cordoned off as Police search for him. At this point in time Police believe the offender may have been known to the victim.

As well as several Police first-response units, the Police Eagle Helicopter has been deployed as well as a Police dog unit. Members of the public are asked to avoid heading to any cordoned areas where there is a Police presence as the search is underway and the Police dog attempts to track the offender.
