Inquiries continue after monitoring bracelet removed in Christchurch

Canterbury Police are currently seeking to locate 37 year old Richard John Percival who removed his monitoring bracelet at around 10pm last night (21 January 2016) in the Burnside suburb of Christchurch.

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Cottam says the man is described as Maori, 178cm tall and medium build with short dark hair.  “He currently has a warrant to arrest for breaching his home detention conditions and should not be approached."

Anyone who sees him should contact Police straight away by dialling 111.

Police encourage anyone who has any non-urgent information on his whereabouts to call the Metro Crime Team based at Christchurch Central Police Station on 03 363 7400.

Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
