Waikato Police are continuing with an investigation into the unexplained disappearance of 38-year-old Paul Arber.

The Australian tennis coach was last seen on Grey Street Hamilton East at approximately 9pm on Saturday night (7 December 2013). The last sighting was of him walking south on Grey Street heading towards Cook Street and Steel Park.

Detective Inspector Karl Thornton says that immediately before his last sighting Mr Arber was seen to stop and pat the dog of a couple who were out walking their pet.

Mr Arber is visiting Hamilton with a large group of children and young people who are attending a tennis tournament being held in Hamilton this week.

He is described as a slightly build Caucasian, 179 centimetres tall (5 foot 9 inches) with short dark hair.

At the time Mr Arber was wearing a grey tracksuit with a tennis logo the left breast of the top and the WILSON tennis logo on the left shoulder of the top.

Mr Thornton says that police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen Mr Arber and is also appealing for the couple who were on Grey Street walking their dog to come forward.

"We are becoming increasingly concerned that we have not heard from Mr Arber. He is not familiar with the area and does not know anyone in Hamilton".

Any information that may assist in locating him can be provided by contacting the Hamilton Police Station, phone 07 858 6200 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111.

Australian media enquiries can be directed to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on +61 262611555 and public enquiries to +61 1300555135.
