On Saturday the 27th of February at around 10.45pm a red vehicle was observed knocking over two mailboxes on the Winton-Lorneville Highway near Wilsons's Crossing Road after it left the road, ending up in some flax bushes.
The vehicle then left the scene heading south towards Invercargill.
