MEDIA STAND-UP ABOUT WOMAN FOUND: AT PLIMMERTON AT 5:30PM

Search and rescue teams have found Elisabeth Loughran, the 68-year-old woman who has been missing in Plimmerton.  Ms Loughran was found in on a hill top in bush area in Plimmerton and has been airlifted to hospital for a medical check-up.

Sgt Ants Harmer who managed the search says "I would especially like to thank Wellington, Manawatu, Horowhenua and Wairarapa LandSAR for their help during the search. The Plimmerton Marae has been awesome and their help is greatly appeciated.  We also would like to thank the Upper Hutt Community Rescue and the Lower Hutt Community Emergency Response Team.  We are thankful that Lizzie was found alive and safe."

"I hope that media can respect the privacy of the family and Lizzie at this time," he said.

NOTE FOR MEDIA

Sgt Harmer will be at the Hongoeka Marae, Hongoeka Bay Road at Plimmerton at 5:30pm, 15 May for a media stand-up.
