Blenheim Police today received information that led to the discovery of the body of a 20-year-old woman at a residential Blenheim address.
Officer in Charge of the investigation, Detective Senior Sergeant Ciaran Sloan, says all early indications are that this tragic death occurred at the residential address earlier today.
“We have arrested and charged a 48-year-old woman with murder, and we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.”
The accused will appear in the Blenheim District Court tomorrow, Tuesday 17 May 2016.
As this matter is effectively now before the court, police are unable to comment further at this time.
