Police are now in a position to release the name of the woman who died at Maruia Falls, Tasman, yesterday.
She was 24 year old Breanna Charlotte Lattimore, of Motueka.
Breanna was swimming below the falls and was pulled under, and failed to resurface. She did not jump from the top of the falls as initially reported.
A white-water rescue team from Murchison located her body around 4pm yesterday.
Police extends our sympathies to Breanna’s family and friends.
