Napier Police seeking information after woman harassed

Police are asking for information from the public after a woman was harassed in Napier on her way home from work.

At around 5pm tonight a man has followed a woman as she has walked from her workplace in Thackeray Street to her car on Carlyle Street. The woman has been harassed by the man who was asking her to assist him in getting some prescription medicine.

After reaching her car the man has continued to harass the woman and has tried to get in the car before the woman has driven off.

The man is described as a male 23-30years of slim build and 5’8- 5’11 tall with short hair. He was wearing tan footwear, grey/black faded jeans and a black top with a monogram on it. He was described as being of Somalian or Sri Lankin decent.
