New Plymouth crash victim dies

A 41-year-old woman who was struck by a 4WD vehicle on Brougham Street, New Plymouth, on Tuesday 6th of May 2014, has died in Wellington Hospital.

Carmen Rogers of New Plymouth, died overnight in the presence of her family.

The Serious Crash Unit is continuing to investigate and Police still want to speak to anyone that witnessed the crash.

"We want to speak to anyone that saw the crash or the 4WD travelling in the vicinity of Brougham and Powderham Streets. These streets are normally very busy around 4 to 5pm and I encourage anyone that saw the crash or has any information to contact Police," says Constable Lee Rose of the New Plymouth Traffic Group.

A 31-year-old man is facing charges and will appear in the New Plymouth District Court in due course.
