Operation Jackson - Police are seeking v

Hutt Valley Police are appealing to the driver of a 'people mover' style vehicle that was travelling north on the motorway near Horokiwi on Thursday 22 August 2013.

Police are keen to speak to the driver and occupant of a 2000-2006, gold or silver people mover, possibly a Toyota Previa, Estima or similar that passed a Quality Bakers truck just before the Petone off ramp about 10.30pm.

The driver and occupant may be able to provide crucial information about shots fired from a red 1994 Nissan Lucino, registration GKU810, which Police have previously appealed for sightings of.

A detailed forensic examination of this vehicle is being undertaken by Police alongside ESR scientists today.

Police will be laying a further charge when Shane HARRISON appears in Hutt Valley District Court today of recklessly discharging a firearm. It is likely Dillin PAKAI will face a similar charge when he reappears in the Wellington District Court on Friday.

The scene examination at the Jackson Street flats has now been completed and Police will continue to spend time in Jackson Street area speaking with key witnesses.

Anyone with any information should contact Hutt Valley Police on (04) 560 2600. Anonymous information can be provided by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
