Police are continuing to investigate a suspected shooting incident in Awapuni, Palmerston North this afternoon.
Due to the incident a number of road blocks were put in place in the Awapuni area as Police carried out investigations. These road blocks were lifted at around 4.30pm.
Police believe the incident is a dispute between the two parties involved and the general public are not at risk.
The victim in the incident sustained moderate to minor injuries and received medical treatment but has since been discharged from hospital.
Police inquiries into the incident are continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Palmerston North Police on 06 351 3600 or they can share information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
