A woman has died after a collision with a car on Rongotea Road, Palmerston North.
Police are still confirming the identification of the woman and the driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital.
The incident occurred on the Palmerston North side of Rongotea Road just before 6pm tonight.
The road will remain closed while investigations continue at the scene.
The name of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin have been notified.
