1 min read

Three people escaped injury when a small plane crashed on landing at Hawke’s Bay Airport today.

The Cessna 206 landed on a runway at the Napier airport just after midday and then overturned, landing on its back.  The pilot and two passengers on board all managed to get out of the plane and were not injured.

All emergency services responded to the crash, but were stood down around 12.30pm.  All flights to and from the airport were delayed.

The crash scene off the main runway has been cordoned off and the Civil Aviation Authority will be conducting an investigation into the accident.
