Missing person Donald Alexander MacLeod

Canterbury Police are appealing for anyone who has seen or heard from  76 year old Timaru man Donald Alexander MacLeod to contact them. He was last seen leaving his Timaru home in the early hours of Sunday morning, 4 January 2015, but it is not known what he was wearing.

He is described as a European, 180cm tall, slim build with greying hair.  His distinctive white Bongo van, with a turquoise strip along the bottom, has been located at Timaru wharf where it is understood to have been parked since Sunday morning.  Mr MacLeod’s family say it is out of character for him to not contact them for this length of time.

Police ask businesses located from the High Street to the waterfront in Timaru to check any of their outbuildings for any signs of the missing man.

Canterbury Police and Mr MacLeod’s family are concerned for his wellbeing and ask anyone who has seen or heard from him to contact the Timaru Police station by calling 03 687 9808.

Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
