Manawatu Police are appealing for help from the public to locate missing 73 year old woman Aquitania (Tai) Luxford who has been missing since 11am on Thursday the 25th of February. She was last seen leaving Awapuni in Palmerston North. Later that day at 12.30pm she used her eftpos card to puchase fuel at BP in Bulls. There has been no further sightings or bank transactions since that time.

She is driving a Dark Grey 2008 Subaru Impreza station wagaon registration EPQ780, which has a large scratch and dent on the passenger rear door, drivers side. The photo is a likeness, not the real vehicle.

She is approximately 150cm tall, Maori, with short salt and pepper colored hair. It is unknown what clothing she may be wearing. She suffers from dementia and there are fears for her safety.

Police and family continue to search for her and there has been 3 aerial searches over the last two days searching possible areas she may have been in but with no success.

The Police really need the help of the Public to find Tai. The key to finding her may rest with the vehicle. If anyone sees a vehicle matching the description parked on the side of the road, maybe on a main highway or country side road or in a street go and check it out for us.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact their nearest police station or call Palmerston North police on 06 351 3600.
