Police are attending an incident in Palmerston North, following a threat made by a man towards a customer at a local Main Street supermarket.
Details on the nature of the threat are still being established.
The Armed Offenders Squad cordoned off the area but the offender had already fled to an address on Church Street.
Police then attended that address where cordons were put in place and later lifted.
Three people are now in custody.
Police would like to hear from any witnesses or people who may have information on the incident.
