Police calling for information on Gore assault

Police are investigating an assault which occurred at West Gore Primary School on Saturday December 3, 2016.

Three young boys, aged between 7 and 11-years-old, were playing in the school grounds on Kitchener Street at approximately 10:40am when they were approached by an unknown male.

An altercation has occurred which resulted in the male punching one of the young boys in the stomach.

Several witnesses have been spoken to by Police in regards to the incident, but more information is needed to get a full picture of what happened.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have information which can help them in their investigation.

The alleged offender is aged between 30 to 40-years-old, short to average height, of stocky build, with short black hair and a beard and moustache.

The vehicle he left the scene in was described as being similar to a newer model Mitsubishi Chariot, in a red or maroon colour.
