A dedicated team of Police investigators are making a number of enquiries in an effort to piece together Denver Chance's last known movements.

The 43-year-old was reported missing last Wednesday.

Denver left the flat where he rents a room in Mairangi Bay, North Shore, around 3.30pm on Sunday 24th February.

He told his friends at the house he was popping out and would be back soon. He left in his car, but failed to return.

The last known sighting of his car, a red 2008 Nissan Skyline with the registration LGH476, was at 4.17pm on the Southern Motorway near Drury. It was captured on CCTV camera footage.

Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie says Denver hasn’t contacted his family within the past week.

“From what we know of Denver Chance, it’s very out of character for him not to be in touch with his family and close friends. His family have described him as a very loved and well-liked man, who’s always happy, really into health and fitness and is an entrepreneur with quite a few business ventures on the go,” she says.

“His family are extremely upset and concerned about him, as anyone would be if they hadn’t heard from their loved one or knew where they were for such a time, especially when they are usually in contact.”

Police have also contacted his bank and phone provider, and have discovered he hasn’t made any calls on his cellphone or used his bank cards since last Sunday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie says Police are keeping an open mind about why that is, and where he could be.

“We are hoping his disappearance can be explained, and we want to find him safe and well. But we acknowledge, that the more time goes on, the more likely it is that something may have happened to him,” she says.

Police are appealing for the public’s assistance to help find Denver and give his family answers.

Denver is described as 178cm tall, of solid and muscular build, with dark brown hair and a tattoo on his shoulder and down his left arm. He also wears an Oakley watch and was last seen in shorts and a singlet.

Police have set up an 0800 number in a quest to find him.

Anyone with information is urged to contact 0800 DENVER or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
