Whanganui Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was found at Te Mana Park, Whanganui yesterday (16 February, 2015) evening.
Police and Ambulance were contacted by a member of the public at approximately 8:30pm after they saw the body in the park.
A scene guard monitored the scene overnight and this morning officers will commence a scene examination.
The man has yet to be formally identified and at this stage the death is being treated as unexplained.
