Police investigating Papakura assault

Counties Manukau Police have launched an investigation after an 18-year-old woman was attacked near Prince Edward Park in Papakura on Wednesday (10 February 2016).

The incident happened at around 11pm on Wharf Street.

Police want to hear from anyone using the park who may have seen a male described by the victim as being Maori or Polynesian, early to late 50’s with a black beard and bushy eyebrows. He was wearing a baggy navy coloured hoodie, dark jeans and timberland type work boots.
