Police investigating serious assault in Dunedin

Dunedin Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday 9 March.

A man was assaulted around 8:30pm near the queue for alcohol at the stadium.

He was seriously injured and remains in hospital.

A 29-year-old male has been charged with wounding with intent, due to appear in Dunedin District Court tomorrow, Monday 11 March.

Enquiries are continuing and Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the assault, or anyone who may have relevant cell-phone footage.
