Police Investigating the Sudden Death of a 10 month old baby in Putaruru.

Police were called to a home in Putaruru at about 8pm this evening where tragically a 10 month old baby had died unexpectedly.
Ambulance staff were in attendance but were not able to revive the baby.
The scene will remain closed overnight while Police conduct a scene examination.
Police will not speculate on the cause of death. That will be a matter for the Coroner to decide after an investigation.
No further details regarding the deceased or family are available at present.
This is a tragic event for the family. They have specifically requested that they are not contacted by the media and that their privacy is respected.
