Police have laid charges in relation to a reported firearms incident in the Papanui area of Christchurch at just after 3pm this afternoon (10 October 2014).
A 21 year old man will appear in Christchurch District Court next week charged with Possession Of An Offensive Weapon and Reckless Discharge Of A Firearm.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
