Statement to be attributed to Hawke's Bay Area Commander Lincoln Sycamore:
A 26-year-old man was arrested at about 4am today in Napier following an alleged firearms incident in Te Awa.
He is due to appear in the Hastings District Court tomorrow on firearms-related charges.
This is an isolated incident and Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this matter.
Police have no information to suggest anyone was injured.
The scene is cordoned off and Police are currently in attendance.
